Book review: Today Will Be Different

I LOVE MARIA SEMPLE. It’s like she gets my humour. She writes these book for ME. I know it. After reading Where’d You Go, Bernadette I just HAD to read her latest novel.

Set over the course of one day, one woman’s internal, irrational thoughts and her varying family members and friends she drags into it. It’s brilliant. I think character-wise – I’d pick Bernadette over Eleanor, but I’d accept either at a dinner party hosted by yours truly.

And the damn cookie basket!

Also – it’s being made into a telly series staring Julia Roberts as Eleanor Flood, with the script written by Semple herself. Read it.
